The Protection Branch of the Ministry of Forests is responsible for the protection of BC forests through Fire Prevention and Suppression. Fire Weather forecasts are extremely important in these operations. Since 1975, our staff have worked closely with BC Forest Service to make sure Fire damage has been kept to a minimum.
